Abstract
Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy in reducing caregiving pressure and clinical symptoms of mothers with children with chronic diseases. The research method was a semi-experimental pre-test-post-test type with a control group. The statistical population consisted of all mothers with children suffering from chronic diseases (asthma, diabetes, cancer, thalassemia major, heart and kidney diseases) hospitalized in children's hospitals and treatment centers in Tehran, who after the necessary screenings and having the criteria to enter the research Among them, 10 mothers for the experimental group and 10 mothers for the control group were randomly selected and replaced. The data obtained from this research were analyzed using multivariate covariance analysis and SPSS software version 21.

Findings: The results of the present study showed that cognitive therapy based on presence of mind has a significant effect on reducing care pressure and clinical symptoms of mothers with children with chronic diseases (P<0.001).

Conclusion: According to the findings of this research, it can be concluded that cognitive therapy based on the presence of mind is effective in helping to improve the psychological condition of mothers with children with chronic diseases, and it is better that active therapeutic staff in the field of chronic diseases. Put psychological interventions and treatments in order to help the families of chronically ill children, especially their mothers, as a priority in their treatment plans.
