Introduction: The human need for education and learning to adapt and interact with environmental changes is a perpetual and enduring necessity. The present study examines the developments in the field of educational management, providing an overview of historical approaches, perspectives, and theories presented during various time periods, while also analyzing the discipline's views regarding its future and ongoing advancements. This qualitative study was conducted through a library-based approach. In this research, relevant articles, documents, and credible studies pertaining to historical-theoretical approaches and information technology in the context of educational management were searched and analyzed using specific keywords in reputable databases such as SID, Magiran, Google Scholar, and the Comprehensive Human Sciences Portal. The findings underscore the vital importance of developing innovative models of educational organizational management that align with the demands of the twenty-first century. Notably, the emergence of a knowledge-based economy has positioned knowledge and innovation as essential factors for national competitiveness. Education plays a central role in fostering individual and organizational creativity and innovation. Innovative managerial practices in schools are recognized as catalysts for promoting creative education. By focusing on enhancing innovation, schools can increase their competitive advantage and sustain continuous development.
