Introduction:
The rapid advancements in technology in recent years have created new opportunities for transforming higher education. Technologies such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, virtual reality, and the metaverse have prompted a rethinking of learning environments.
Objective:
This study aims to identify and explain strategies for designing personalized learning environments in future universities, with a focus on diverse student learning styles.
Method:
This research was conducted using a systematic literature review approach. Relevant academic sources were collected and analyzed within a defined time frame. The focus was on studies related to modern educational technologies, learning styles, adaptive approaches, and personalized learning environment design.
Findings:
The findings identified four key components for designing effective personalized learning environments: (1) the use of advanced technologies such as augmented reality and interactive simulations; (2) the identification and adaptation to individual learning styles; (3) the implementation of adaptive tools and methods for customizing educational content; and (4) the integration of all elements within a cohesive framework. These components can synergistically enhance students’ learning experiences in digital settings.
Conclusion:
Designing personalized learning environments requires comprehensive and integrated frameworks that harmonize technology, learning styles, and adaptive methods. The findings of this study provide a foundation for developing new educational models to improve learning effectiveness and guide the design of future universities.
